Welcome to the Ridge Circle Elementary School website! Ridge Circle is a nurturing school that works with the community to serve kindergarten through sixth grade students in Streamwood and other neighborhoods in Elgin Area School District U-46. The dedicated teachers at Ridge Circle include a National Board Certified teacher and two teachers who have earned the Golden Apple award.
Recognizing that each child is unique and that learning at Ridge Circle is a cooperative effort of family, school, and community, Ridge Circle Elementary School provides a variety of services and curricula which allow all students to reach their academic potential in a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment.

On the front page, you may have noticed our school's Mission Statement. Our emphasis on literacy to prepare students for college or the workplace is evident. Students are prepared to meet the demands of the future in a global community, demonstrate good citizenship, show interest in the arts, and take pride in themselves and their accomplishments.
In addition to academic learning, we take pride in social emotional learning that prepares students to work, play, and live cooperatively as part of an intellectual community. Ridge Circle incorporates Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (P.B.I.S.) to focus on reinforcing appropriate behaviors and coping skills.

Ridge Circle Elementary School serves just under 500 students in Kindergarten through sixth grade. We are a dual language school, serving the English and Spanish-speaking populations and encouraging our students to become bilingual, biliterate and bicultural.
